We believe that the Word of God is living and active.The Bible is God’s Word, it doesn’t just contain God’s Word. To properly understand God’s Word, we must always distinguish the Law and the Gospel rightly. The main purpose of the Bible is not to live right or how to be saved. The main purpose of the Bible is to show us our Savior, Jesus. All of the Old Testament points forward to Him. All of the New Testament points back at Him. Since God’s Word is living and active, whenever we spend time in God’s Word, hearing it preached or taught, or study it, it will always convict us of our sin or show us our Savior, or both!
